About Us.....

meet Penny aka Waterfall Red

The beadwork started out as a hobby to build an outfit to compete in another class at Appaloosa horse shows, evolved into serious competition in the Southern California parade circuit and ended up with the ride of a lifetime, the Pasadena Rose Parade. That involvement,  research and the help and encouragement of the late Dick Spencer of the Western Horseman magazine led hubby and I into the Blackpowder, Buckskinner, Mountain Man events and continues to be an important influence still, along with history and Native American connections.

The knives featured are all done by hubby, Bob, and most are hand forged and the sheaths are also hand done by him.

My artwork comes from feeling as I do about horses in general and art and especially Appaloosas.  There are way to many examples to put up here, but by e-mailing me I can send you more examples and custom orders can be discussed, Contact Us

Soon there will also be some shots of dolls I make, Apple Head and most done of Native American elders and a Mountain Man thrown in here and there. The fuzzy shot at right is of yours truly at work on a painted on leather hoop, which can be seen on the art page.
